Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, and learned Standing Counsel for
State-respondents.
Petitioner seeks early disposal of his application made for grant of fire arm
licence. The application is stated to be pending since long before the District
Magistrate concerned.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that application of the petitioner for grant
of fire arm licence shall be considered by the District Magistrate within
reasonable time.
In view of the stand so taken by the Standing Counsel, the present writ
petition is disposed of by providing that the District Magistrate concerned
shall consider and decide the application made by the petitioner for grant of
fire arm licence, in accordance with law, by means of a reasoned speaking
order, preferably within a period of three months from the date the
representation is filed.
