We have been informed that various writ petitions challenging the levy of
open area penalty is pending consideration before this Court.
By way of an interim measure, it is provided that if the petitioners deposit the
other dues except the open area penalty amounting to Rs.93,763/-, the map of
the petitioners shall be sanctioned. The liability to pay the open area penalty
shall be subject to the final outcome of the writ petition.
