Dated this the 3rd day of July, 2009.

                                 JUDGMENT

The petitioner herein is a Lecturer Trainee in Genito-urinary Surgery,

Medical College, Kottayam. He joined in the said department on 1.8.2007.

For want of vacancies in the said department, he was accommodated in the

Department of Pharmacology which is evidenced by Ext.P2. The petitioner

had been requesting for a posting in the former department and presently a

vacancy has arisen there due to the uauthorised absence from service of one

Dr. Shameer P. Hameed, which is evidenced by Ext.P3 proposal submitted

by the Principal to the Director of Medical Education as early as 4.2.2009.

The petitioner points out that in spite of the said report forwarded by the

Principal, so far no orders have been passed. Therefore, in the writ petition,

mainly it is prayed that the first respondent may be directed to give a

suitable posting for accommodating the petitioner as Lecturer in the

Department of Jenito-urinary Survery in the Medical College, Kottayam.

2. Since Ext.P3 proposal is said to be pending before the second

respondent, the same will be considered by the said authority and

appropriate orders shall be passed within a period of one month from the

wpc 18602/2009 2

date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, if so far no final orders have been

passed. The result of the same will be communicated to the petitioner. The

petitioner will produce a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the

writ petition before the second respondent for compliance.

(T.R. Ramachandran Nair, Judge.)
