                     W.P.(C) No.28703 OF 2010

                           J U D G M E N T

The petitioner is a former employee of the Kerala State

Road Transport Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the `KSRTC’ for

short). He retired from service on 31.3.2010 while he was working as

Inspector in the KSRTC. This writ petition is filed seeking expeditious

payment of DCRG, commuted value of pension and terminal leave

surrender salary on the ground that the marriage of the petitioner’s

daughter is scheduled to be solemnized on 17.10.2010.

2. Sri.V.V.Nandagopal Nambiar, the learned standing

counsel appearing for the KSRTC, submits that if after enquiry the

Corporation is satisfied that the marriage of the petitioner’s daughter

is scheduled to be solemnized on 17.10.2010, the Corporation will

take steps to pay DCRG and commuted value of pension to the

petitioner overlooking priority.

In such circumstances, I dispose of this writ petition with a

direction to the respondent to enquire into the genuineness of the

claim made by the petitioner for out of turn payment of DCRG and

commuted value of pension and to make such payment along with

W.P.(C) No.28703 of 2010

2

terminal leave surrender salary within one month from the date of

production of a copy of this judgment, if the claim of the petitioner is

found to be genuine.
