JUDGMENT
While working as Offset Operator Gr.I in the office of the
Directorate of Printing of the Government of Kerala, the
petitioner was promoted as Offset Operator Senior Grade, by
Ext.P1 order. He retired from service on 31.3.2010. According
to the petitioner, the Offset Operator Senior Grade carries the
scale of pay of `.8390-13270/-. But, even after promotion to
that post, the scale of pay of the petitioner continued to be
`.7990-12930/-. According to the petitioner, on promotion, the
petitioner should have been given the scale of pay of `.8390-
13270/-. Seeking this benefit, the petitioner has filed Ext.P3
representation before the second respondent. The petitioner
seeks a direction to the second respondent to consider and pass
orders on Ext.P3 expeditiously.
Having heard the learned Government Pleader also, I
dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the second
respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P3 as
W.P.(C)No.36651/10 2
expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within two months from
the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after affording
an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner.
