                          J U D G M E N T

Petitioner, who retired from service on 31.3.2007, has

now approached this court with the two claims. One is that,

in October 1996 he ought to have been granted Selection

Grade and that it was not given to him, but was given to his

junior. The other is that additional increment on completion

of 8 years of service as Assistant Grade-II fell due in 1981

and that the same was not granted. It is stated that Ext.P6

representation made in this behalf also has not evoked any

response. It is in these circumstances the writ petition is

filed.

In my view, the writ petition filed at this stage is highly

belated and for delay and laches alone the writ petition is

liable to be dismissed. Writ petition is accordingly

dismissed.
