ORDER
The petitioners who are accused Nos.1 to 3 in
C.C.No.875/2005 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate of the
First Class-I, Parappanangadi arising from Crime No.209/2005
of Thanur Police Station for offences punishable under
Sections 341, 323 & 324 read with Section 34 I.P.C., seek to
quash the proceedings on the ground that the matter has been
settled between the injured persons and the petitioners as
evidenced by Annexure-3 Award passed by the Lok Adalat
conducted by the Thirurangadi Taluk Legal Services
Committee. Since the offences were allegedly committeed in
the year 2005 at a time when Section 324 I.P.C. was
compoundable I am inclined to permit composition of the
said offence. Accordingly the composition of the aforesaid
offences are recorded. The petitioners are discharged of the
said offences. C.C.No.875/2005 on the file of the Judicial
Magistrate of the First Class-I, Parappanangadi shall stand
quashed.
