                      W.P.(C). NO. 28373 OF 2007
                             ---------------------

Petitioner, who was a student of the Calicut University for B.Com.

Degree Course, got inter University transfer and joined the 1st respondent

University. His contention is that in the first year examination for

Managerial Economics conducted by the University of Calicut, he was

awarded 18 marks for internal assessment and that on transfer, for the

corresponding paper of Banking Theory and Practice, he was awarded only

6 marks for internal assessment. He submits that the internal assessment

marks secured by him in the Calicut University has to be given credit by the

1st respondent. On this basis he has filed Ext.P4 representation before the

Vice Chancellor of the 1st respondent University, which is pending

consideration.

2. I have heard learned Standing Counsel for the University also.

3. This is a matter on which the Vice Chancellor of the 1st

respondent University should bestow his attention, as it involves an issue

of general application.

Therefore, I dispose of the writ petition directing that the vice

Chancellor of the 1st respondent University shall take up Ext.P4 and

consider the same, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within two

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
