JUDGMENT
A.K.Basheer, J.
A Co-operative Agricultural and Rural Development Bank
through its President has filed this writ petition seeking police protection
for the smooth conduct of the election to the managing committee
scheduled to be held on October 26, 2008. There is a further prayer to
afford such protection on the day of counting of votes also, viz. on
27.10.2008. Admittedly, the petitioner has preferred Ext.P3 request
before the respondent-Deputy Superintendent of Police, Irinjalakuda
seeking appropriate protection for the above purpose.
2. We do not find any reason to assume that the respondent
will fail in discharge of his duty. In that view of the matter, we do not
propose to issue any direction in the matter.
The writ petition is disposed of.
