The prayer made by the petitioner is for issuance of a direction
to the respondents to regularise his services as Tracer either w.e.f.
26.10.1982 as per instructions of even date (P.3) or from the date of his
initial appointment as Tracer w.e.f. 1.4.1985. A further prayer for framing
seniority list of the petitioner and other Tracers working in the Irrigation
Department under Rule 12 of the Punjab Public Works Department
(Irrigation Branch) Draftsman and Tracer’s State Service Class III Rules,
1960 be prepared.
At the outset, Ms. Sudeepti Sharma, learned State counsel has
placed on record seniority list dated 8.10.2008 (Mark “A”) showing
seniority of the Tracers upto 31.7.2008. She has further stated that the name
of the petitioner appears at serial no. 203 and his services have been
regularised w.e.f. 1.4.1985. It meets the prayer made by the petitioner.

Accordingly the writ petition has been rendered infructuous and is disposed
of as such.
