ORAL
JUDGMENT

(Per
: HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE D.A.MEHTA)

Mr.

Nandish Chudgar, learned Advocate for the petitioner states that he
has no instructions as regards the latest developments. Considering
the fact that the dispute relates to the rate of octroi duty levied
by respondent Nagar Palika and the fact that the octroi has since
been abolished with effect from 01.05.2001, in the circumstances, the
Court does not find it necessary to enter into any discussion on
merits of the controversy. The petition is accordingly disposed of.
Rule discharged. Interim relief stands vacated. There shall be no
order as to costs.
