The petitioner is aggrieved of the coercive steps stated as being pursued
against them notwithstanding the pendency of the Ext.P2 series appeals, along
with Ext.P3 series I.A.s for stay and also followed by Ext.P4 series applications
for early hearing.
2. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents
submits that, huge liability is to be satisfied by the petitioner and the appeals
can be caused to be considered, if the petitioner satisfies a portion of the
disputed liability.
3. Considering the facts and circumstances, the petitioner is directed
to deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/- within two weeks and on satisfying the same,
the first respondent shall consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2 series
appeals, in accordance with law, of course after giving an opportunity of hearing
to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within two months
from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. It is made clear that till such
appropriate orders are passed in Ext.P2 series appeals, all further coercive
steps stated as being pursued against the petitioner shall be kept in abeyance.
The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
