The petitioner is presently working in the post of Joint Food

Safety Commissioner (Admn. & Legal) in the rank of Law Officer

(PFA) in the Commissionerate of Food Safety. According to the

petitioner, the said post is an isolated post having no promotion

avenues including higher grade promotion, except 8 years’ time

bound higher grade promotion. The petitioner submits that this

situation can be remedied if the post is integrated in the Law

Department of Government Secretariat, seeking consideration of

which he has filed Ext.P2 representation before the second

respondent while considering the next pay revision of

Government employees. The petitioner seeks a direction to the

second respondent to consider that representation also while

making recommendations for pay revision of the employees of

the Government of Kerala.

2. I have heard the learned Government Pleader also.

W.P.(c)No.28729/10 2

In the facts and circumstances of the case, I dispose of

this writ petition directing the second respondent to consider

Ext.P2 representation also on its merits, while making

recommendations to the Government of Kerala regarding pay

revision of the employees of the Government of Kerala.
