J U D G M E N T
The petitioner is presently working as Senior
Superintendent in the Electrical Section Mavungal, Kanhangad in
Kasaragod District. He has been working there from January 2008.
He is seeking for a transfer to any of the Circles at Irinjalakuda,
Ernakulam and Perumbavoor. The petitioner has certain physical
problems and require surgery to be conducted immediately. Ext.P1
will show that he has been referred to General Hospital, Ernakulam
in the matter and, therefore, transfer to any nearest Station is
necessitated because of the urgency in getting medical treatment. It
is in these circumstances that the petitioner has filed Ext.P2
representation seeking for a posting in appropriate Station in
Ernakulam District itself. The petitioner has pointed out that by
Ext.P4, after promoting six persons who are juniors to the petitioner,
orders regarding their posting have been issued but without
considering Ext.P2 filed by the petitioner.
2. Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents
also. There will be a direction to the second respondent to consider
W.P.(C) No.2274/2009

Ext.P2 and the request of the petitioner for a posting in Irinjalakuda,
Ernakulam or Perumbavoor Electrical Circles as requested for in the
said representation within a period of one month from the date of
receipt of the copy of this judgment. Appropriate orders will be
passed after considering the merits of the matter.
The writ petition is allowed as above. No costs.
