Pursuant
to our order dated 29.3.2010, Mr. AS Patel, Administrative Officer
from the office of the Inspector General of Prisons, Gujarat State
has filed affidavit. Mr. CS Parmar, in charge Inspector General of
Prisons, Gujarat State is personally present.
Mr.
Parmar has stated before us that necessary directions have been
issued for providing proper treatment and diet to the jail inmates.
He has also assured the Court that proper supervision would be made
to assure the Court that the directions are scrupulously followed and
jail inmates are provided with proper care and treatment.
In
light of this, we do not propose to carry this matter any further in
the hope that we would not come across such cases in future, least we
may be required to pass any harsh order.
The
application stands disposed of. Notice discharged.
