-----------
03 02.11.2010 It is regrettable that inspite of adjournment
University is not in a position even to file a counter affidavit
much less settle the accounts. In few cases University
though admits dues, which are long standing for almost two
decades, still inspite of their undertaking in those affidavits
that the payment will be made in the month of October, no
payment is made. This clearly shows that there is no anxiety
on the part of the University to clear the long standing dues
of its employees probably because the Vice-Chancellor and
other senior Officials keep getting their remuneration
regularly. They have no sensitivity to the claims of other
employees.
As a matter of last indulgence, put up these
matters on 29th November, 2010 along with similar cases
“For Admission” under the same list.
In the meantime, all admitted claims must be
paid and if they are not paid, this Court would be constraint
to order stoppage of payment of salary and other allowances
to all senior Officials of the University till all dues of all
employees are cleared. On that day the Court would also
-3-
consider granting interest for the inordinate delay in payment
of dues to the petitioners. In all cases individual affidavits
have to be filed by the University as regards the claims and
payments made to the petitioners.
