The
present application is filed u/s.389(1) of the Cr.P.C., 1973, for
suspending the sentence. Heard learned advocate, Mr.Supehia, for the
applicant appellant the accused and learned A.P.P.,
Mr.Sejpal, for the respondent State. The applicant is convicted for
the offences punishable under Sections 376 and 506(2) of the IPC. For
the offence u/s.376, he is awarded 10 years R.I and fine of Rs.1000/-
and in default, R.I for one year, whereas for the offence punishable
u/s.506(2) of the IPC he is awarded two years R.I and fine of
Rs.200/- and in default, R.I for three months.
Having
perused the papers and having considered the submissions made by
learned advocate, Mr.Supehia, for the applicant, no case is made out
for grant of any relief. Hence, the application is rejected.
