The petitioner is working as Casual Sweeper in the Primary

Health Centre, Manakadavu. She joined service in the year 1988 and,

thereafter, have been working continuously. On 19/08/2004, she was

terminated from service as per the order of the third respondent. The

petitioner is seeking for regularisation in the light of Ext.P2 Government

Order, wherein guidelines have been issued for regularising existing eligible

casual sweepers and appointments against future arising vacancies of

sweepers/cleaners in Government Offices.

2. The petitioner contends that without taking any action in the

matter, the third responded is trying to induct fresh hands in the place of the

petitioner where she is working. Seeking for appropriate reliefs, she has

moved the first respondent in the matter, and a true copy of the petition is

produced as Ext.P3.

3. Hence, therefore, there will be a direction to the first

respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P3. If it is found that the

petitioner is eligible for grant of benefits under Ext.P2 scheme, such

benefits will also be extended to her. Appropriate orders will be passed

within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the copy of this

judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
