The Writ Petition is filed mainly with the following prayer:-
i) Issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ,
direction or order commanding the respondent No. 4 to conduct a free
and fair election to elect the members and office bearers of the Thajul
Ma’arif Madrassah Committee, Pezhakkappilly, Muvattupuzha,
Ernakulam under the supervision of an advocate commissioner
appointed by this Hon’ble Court within two weeks.
There are other prayers also. The Writ Petition happened to be
filed before this court, since the Tribunal was not functioning. As the
Tribunal is functioning now, this court need not consider the matter on
merits. It is submitted that the case is posted to tomorrow, 26.6.2007
before the Tribunal. Petitioners may move for appropriate orders
before the Tribunal.
