Heard learned counsel appearing for the appellant and
learned Government Pleader for the respondents.
2. The appellant is the widow of a person, who claimed
pension as a freedom fighter. The claim of the appellant’s late
husband was considered with reference to the norms for
granting SSS Pension payable by the Central Government.
However, the learned Single Judge on verifying the records
produced by the Government found that there is nothing to
indicate that he was an accused and was a prisoner, or was
absconding pursuant to any case registered against him.
Consequently, the appellant’s husband was found ineligible for
the SSS Pension.
We do not find any merit in the Writ Appeal as the
appellant’s husband neither during his life time, nor the

appellant after death of her husband could establish that he is
eligible for pension with reference to the Pension Scheme.
Consequently, this Writ Appeal is dismissed.
