Facts

:­ 

1. Appellant   preferred   RTI   request   dated   24 
December   2009   before   the   CPIO,   LIC   of   India, 
Divisional   Office  III,  New Delhi  seeking   information 
pertaining   to   rules/conditions   under   which   further 
requirement   of   medical   tests   as   contained   in   the 
Corporation’s   letter   dated   29   August   2009   were 
required to be undertaken by the appellant.

2. The   CPIO   vide   his   order   dated   25   January   2010 
provided   him   with   information   pertaining   to   further 
medical   tests   being   called   for   in   accordance   with 
opinion   of   the   Zonal   Medical   Referee.   Appellant 
preferred   appeal   dated   20   February   2010   before   the 
First Appellate Authority which was disposed of vide 
FAA   order   dated   19   March   2010   wherein   he   provided 
additional   clarifications   which   did   not   satisfy   the 
appellant.

3. Appellant   preferred   second   appeal   before   the 
Commission. Matter was heard today. Both parties were 
present as above.

Decision

4. After   hearing   both   parties   the   Commission 
directs the CPIO to forward the RTI application under 
section   6   (3)   to   the   holder   of   information,   namely, 
CPIO – North Zone within one week of receipt of the 
order.   CPIO – North  Zone  will  provide  copy  of rules 
governing   the   practice   of   taking   opinion   from   the 
zonal medical referee within two weeks thereafter.
