Facts
arising from the Complaint:
Ms. Bindi Desai had filed a RTI application with the Respondent PIO on
09/11/2010 asking for certain information. However on not having received the
information within the mandated time, the Complainant filed a complaint under Section
18 of the RTI Act with the Commission. On this basis, the Commission issued a notice to
the Respondent on 11/07/2011 with a direction to provide the information to the
Complainant and further sought an explanation for not furnishing the information within
the mandated time.
The Commission has received a letter dated 08/08/2011 from the Respondent
wherein it has been stated that as per the records of the RTI Cell, the said RTI
Application was never received in their office. However, in compliance of the
Commission’s direction some relevant information with regard to the RTI Application
has been provided vide letter dated 03/08/2011 by the CPIO, copy of which was
enclosed.
Decision:
The Complaint is disposed off.
Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
