                                                      ORDER

Background

1. The Applicant filed an RTI Application dt.28.3.11 with the PIO, DRM Office, East Central Railway, 

Mughalsarai  seeking  information against five points  including the  action taken  on  his two  letters 

dt.10.6.10  and  1.12.10  and  the copy of his service record.   Shri S.C.Srivastava, PIO replied on 

20.4.11  furnishing point  wise  information.   With regard to point 5, he requested the Applicant to 

deposit Rs.120/­ towards supply of 60 pages of information.  The Applicant, however,  filed an appeal 

dt.27.4.11 with the Appellate Authority stating that no information has been received by him till date. 

Shri Ramesh Chandra, Appellate Authority replied on 8.6.11 stating that the required information has 

already been furnished within the prescribed  time limit.  Being aggrieved with the reply, the Applicant 

filed   a   second   appeal   dt.13.7.11   before  CIC  seeking   additional  information   which   has  not  been 

sought in the RTI Application..

Decision

2. The Commission on perusal of the documents on record and after hearing the submissions directs 

the   Appellant   to   pay  the  requisite amount  of  fees ie.Rs.120/­  and obtain  the  information sought 

against point 5.   With regard to the additional information being sought in the second appeal ,  the 

Appellant is advised to file a fresh RTI Application.  As for the remaining information, it is held that 

adequate information has already  been provided to the Appellant.

3. The  appeal is accordingly disposed off.
