                                          ORDER

Shri Davendra Kumar, the appellant has filed this appeal dated 6.12.2010 before
the Commission against Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi for not providing
information to his RTI-request dated 13.9.2010, which came up for hearing on 23.3.2011.
The appellant was present in person, whereas the respondents were represented by Dr.
Anup Bhaumik, Secretary & AA, Shri T.P. Singh, CPIO and Shri Balbir Singh, APIO.

2. The appellant filed RTI-request dated 13.9.2010, seeking status of his application
for the post of Peon. The CPIO vide letter No 1-64/2009/VCI/2410 dated 1.1.2010 has
replied to the appellant stating that the process of filling up of the post of peon is under
way and the intimation shall be sent to the applicants in due course.

3. Aggrieved by the decision of CPIO, the appellant filed first-appeal 21.10.2010
before FAA, which was not decided by the FAA.

4. During the hearing the respondents submitted that the appellant has appeared for
written examination for the post of Peon on 9.1.2011 and the result is awaited.

5. After hearing the respondents and on perusal of the relevant documents on file,
Commission observed that the requisite information, under the provisions of RTI Act, has
been provided to the appellant. I uphold the decision of respondents.

The appeal has no merit and is rejected.
