                                                    ORDER

Background

1. The  Applicant, through his RTI­application dated 27.10.2009, requested the PIO, University Grants 

Commission, New Delhi to provide to him the detailed information related to  filling up posts (teaching 

and non­teaching) under OBC reservations  in Departments/Colleges/ Centers/Libraries/Labs etc. in 

Central Universities (Delhi University). 

2. The CPIO, UGC, through a communication dated on 12.11.2009, transferred the above application to 

the PIO, University of Delhi. The PIO, University of Delhi, on 08.12.2009, forwarded the information 

received from the holder­of­the­information, to the Applicant.   The PIO in this communication also 

mentioned the name and the address of the Appellant Authority (AA) with whom the Applicant might 

file his 1st­appeal, if any. The Applicant, thereafter, instead of approaching the AA, filed his appeal 

directly in the Commission stating that he needs all the  information. He, however, did not comment 

on the information furnished to him by the Respondents.

Decision

3. After hearing the Respondents and on noting that information related to  non teaching posts have yet 

to be furnished, the Commission directs the PIO  to furnish the same to the Appellant by 25 February, 

2012. 

4. The appeal is accordingly disposed  of.
