ORDER
The Commission has received a complaint dated 25.1.2010
from Dr. L.P. Morya, S/o Sh. Mewa Lal, Village Sedanpur, P.O.
Muradganj, Tehsil Sadar, Distt. Jounpur, u/s 18 of the RTI Act, 2005,
wherein he has complained to the Commission that he had sought
certain information from PIO, but he has not received any response
within the stipulated period under the RTI Act, 2005.
2. While enclosing a copy of the complaint, the PIO is hereby
directed to provide requisite information/reply to the complainant in 03
weeks time as per the provisions of law.
3. Any failure on the part of the PIO in complying with the order of
the Commission in the above mentioned time frame would render him
liable for penal action under Section 20(1) of the RTI Act, 2005.
4. PIO is also hereby directed to send the following to the
Commission by Speed Post or dasti:
i) A copy of the information/reply if any, sent to the
complainant;
ii) Your explanation for not supplying information to the
complainant within the stipulated time under RTI Act,
2005.
