Factsarising from the Complaint:
Mr. Fagesh Kumar Sahu had filed a RTI application with the Respondent PIO on
09/03/2011 asking for certain information. However on not having received the
information within the mandated time, the Complainant filed a complaint under Section
18 of the RTI Act with the Commission. On this basis, the Commission issued a notice to
the Respondent PIO on 29/08/2011 with a direction to provide the information to the
Complainant and further sought an explanation for not furnishing the information within
the mandated time.
The Commission has received a letter dated 27/09/2011 from the Respondent
wherein it has been stated that the said RTI Application was never received in their
office. However, in compliance of the Commission’s direction the information has been
now provided vide a letter dated 15/09/2011. Copy of the information was also enclosed.
Decision:
The Complaint is disposed off.
Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
