Facts

arising from the Complaint:

Mr. Gopalkrishnan had filed an RTI application dated 29/09/2010 with the CPIO,
O/o the Sub Regional Officer, EPFO, Noida, asking for certain information. On not
having received any information within the mandated time the Complainant filed a
Complaint under Section 18 of the RTI Act with the Commission. On this basis, the
Commission issued a notice to the Respondent on 01/12/2010 with a direction to provide
the information to the Complainant and further sought an explanation for not furnishing
the information within the mandated time.

Subsequently, the Commission received a letter dated 30/12/2010 from the CPIO
& R.P.F.C-II, Noida, wherein it has been stated that on the basis of the records available
and the explanation given by the official from Receipt Section, it appears that the said
RTI was not received in his office. Further the CPIO & RPFC-II received a copy of the
RTI application only with the Commission’s notice dated 01/12/2010. Accordingly a
reply was furnished to the Complainant vide letter dated 22/12/2010. On perusal of the
reply, it appears that the information provided to the Complainant is satisfactory.

Decision:

The Complaint is disposed off.

Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
