The Appellant had sought following information from PIO – DJB regarding
connection of Supply of Drinking water to our area after paid the water development
charges to the DJB i.e. 10 yrs. ago etc.

Para No cognizant reason has so for taken to our Of DJB might have said to provide
-A submit ions. Kindly let us know the reason / filter water to Raj Nagar part -II after
cause of respond to our letter’ release of 125 cuscuses of water to
Nangloi Treatment Plant. But due to
non availability of sufficient water at
C.T2 & subsequently at CT1 filter
water supply to Raj Nagar Part -II
could not be ensured. However, DJB
is trying hard to provide filter water to
CT1 it is worth while to mention here
that Raj Nagar, Part -II is on the
command of Dwarka Water Treatment
Plant which is likely to be
commissioned by 2011. DJB is
already supplying water through tube
well & supplemented. Through tanker
to Raj Nagar Part -II. The applicant is
also getting water at low pressure
through tube well & also water tanker
is made available as fixed points.
Para Kindly intimate us the action / implementation
-B and pursuance of our letters seriously.
Para Kindly let us know as true why the commitment
-C already made before the Hon’ble consumer court
from -III Janakpuri New Delhi vide case no.
422/2006 dt. 17.07.06 i.e. Alok Sudhar Samiti
Vs Delhi Jal Board is not being met in letter of
sprit.
Ground of the First Appeal:
Incorrect and incomplete information had been provided by the PIO.
Order of the FAA:
“The questions raised in the original RTI application have been vaguely replied.
Specific reply to each of the three points raised by the appellant vides his original RTI
application may be furnished to the appellant within a week’s time”.
Ground of the Second Appeal:
In view of the above order of 1st Appellate Authority the direction were given to Delhi
Jal Board to reply. The original RTI specifically as per the point raised by applicant may be
furnished with in week time. The reply which DJB, has sent to us after the verdict of 1st
Appellate Authority is unsatisfactory.
Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing:
The following were present:
Appellant : Mr. Govind Parsad Sharma;
Respondent : Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma, APIO&EE(SW-II) on behalf of PIO Mr. B. M.
Dhaull, PIO& Chief Engineer South;
The PIO has given information after the order of the First Appellate Authority but has
been unable to provide information in the form sought by the Appellant. The PIO is now
instructed to provide all copies of the letter given by the Appellant alongwith any notes,

notings made by officers and any other communications relating to this. As regards the order
of the Consumer Forum the PIO is directed to provide any records evidencing how these
orders are being complied with. If there are no records evidencing any of these this will be
stated.
Decision:
The Appeal is allowed.
The PIO will give the information directed above to the Appellant before 15 March
2010.
This decision is announced in open chamber.
Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
Any information in compliance with this Order will be provided free of cost as per Section 7(6) of RTI Act.
