Facts
:
1. Vide his RTI request of 14.3.2009 the applicant
Shri Gulam Dastgir Kadri sought information from the
CPIO, LIC of India, Branch Office, Mohanlal Ganj
pertaining to delay in payment of claim on maturity of
his Policy No. 212298275 which was deposited with them
on 3.11.2008.
2. The CPIO vide his order of 9.4.2009 provided point
wise information to the applicant who preferred first
appeal dated nil before the FAA. This appeal was
disposed of vide FAAO of 2.6.2009 through which
appellant was informed that information as available
with the respondent had been passed on to him.
3. Not being satisfied, appellant preferred second
appeal before the Commission which was heard today
through video conferencing.
Decision
4. After hearing the arguments presented by both
sides Commission is satisfied that full and complete
information had been provided to the appellant and no
further action remains. Regarding payment of penal
interest on delayed payment and bouncing of cheque
issued by LIC appellant is free to take up the matter
at the appropriate forum.
