ORDER
Shri Harender Singh, the appellant has filed this appeal dated 20.6.2011 before the
Commission against the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi for providing unsatisfactory
information to his RTI-request dated 24.1.2011. The matter came up for hearing on
24.10.2011. The appellant was present in person, whereas the respondents were
represented by Dr. A.K. Saxena, Director.
2. The appellant filed RTI-request dated 24.1.2011 seeking information whether the
MHA has taken a decision to appoint against Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ posts in Delhi Police of
OBC category candidates mentioned in Central List and NCT of Delhi Government list.
The CPIO vide letter No. 14011/207/2009-UTP dated 14.2.2011 informed the appellant
that the matter was in consideration of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
3. Aggrieved by reply from CPIO, the appellant preferred first-appeal on 21.3.2011
before FAA. The FAA vide order No. 14011/207/09-UTP dated 5.4.2011 upheld the reply
of CPIO.
4. Having heard the parties and perused the documents in file, the Commission is of
the considered view that requisite information permissible under the RTI Act has been
provided to the appellant.
