                                                       ORDER

Background

1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.24.9.10 with the CPIO, ICMR seeking documents against 

five   points   with   regard   to   the   submissions   made   by   the   Respondent   in   case 

No.CIC/AD/A/2010/000935.     Ms.Lalita   Anand,   CPIO(Legal)   replied   on   28.10.10   requesting   the 

Applicant to deposit Rs.26/­ towards supply of 13 pages of information.  The Applicant filed an appeal 

dt.8.11.10 with the Appellate Authority stating that the documents sought have not been provided and 

that he has  enclosed a pay order for Rs.26/­ along with his  appeal.  Ms.Lalita Anand, CPIO(Legal) 

replied   on   16.11.10   providing   13   pages   of   information.     The   Applicant   filed   a   second   appeal 

dt.6.12.10 before CIC stating that the documents have not been provided to him against point (i) 

while no information in respect of the documents from S.No.(ii) to (v) have been  provided.

Decision

2. During the hearing, the Appellant submitted that the Respondents had agreed to provide him with the 

copy of the Appellate Authority’s decision along with the information,   as required by him and that 

once he gets these documents, he would be satisfied. He stated that he is not interested in pursuing 

the RTI matter further.   The Appellant also brought to the attention of the Commission   that the 

affidavit filed by the Respondents in case No.CIC/AD/A/2010/001581 had not been  submitted in the 

proper format to the Commission.

3. The Commission accordingly directs the PIO to provide the information as sought by the Appellant 

by 5.4 10 as also the  affidavit in the correct mode once again  in case CIC/AD/A/2010/001581 to the 

Commission with a copy to the Appellant . The Affidavit should reach the Commission/Appellant by 

15.4.11.
