Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.7.2.08 with the CPIO, DLMW, Patiala.
He requested for information related to different rules in connection with the
post of Section Engineer in the Railways. The CPIO replied on 1.3.08 as
follows:
i) The issues addressed pertain to Personnel Branch of DMW.
ii) Please find enclosed the comments given by APIO Personnel vide letter
dt.25.2.08.
No satisfied with the reply, the Applicant filed an appeal dt.7.3.08 with the
Appellate Authority. The Appellate Authority replied on 5.4.08. Aggrieved
with the reply, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.2.5.08 before the CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing on May 6, 2009.
3. Mr. Vinod Kumar, Dy. CPO & CPIO, Mr. Aparapar Singh, CPLE & Appellate
Authority and Mr. Mittar Ishwar represented the Public Authority.
4. The Applicant was present during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Commission reviewed the information against the RTI request as also
against several other RTI requests filed earlier and noted that complete
information has been furnished to the Appellant. The appeal is accordingly
disposed off.
