Facts
:
1. The applicant sought information from the CPIO, the United India
Insurance Co. Ltd., Ludhiana pertaining to claim preferred against Policy
No. 1551/99 of Maruti Zen Car vide his RTI application of 31.10.2009.
2. Not receiving a response the applicant preferred complaint before
the Commission. The matter was heard today through videoconferencing.
Respondent w3as present as above. Complainant did not appear.
3. Respondent stated that they had received the RTI application on
4.11.2009 and had sent a reply vide their order of 5.11.2009 vide which
disclosure of information was denied on account of it being third party
information. The said order of the CPIO was dispatched by ordinary post
and was recorded in their dispatch register against serial No.5684 dated
5.11.2009.
Decision
4. The Commission accepts the averments of the respondent as
credible and drops proposed penalty proceedings.
