Background
1 The Applicant filed an RTI application dated 30.10.08 with the CPIO/ MTNL,
New Delhi, seeking information against 8 points related to the SC/ST
Telecom Employees Welfare Association including its present status, audit
report of the Association etc. The CPIO replied on 16.12.08 intimating the
Applicant that his application is under process and the reply is awaited from
the concerned unit. On not receiving any further reply from the CPIO, the
Applicant filed a First Appeal before the Appellate Authority on 05.12.08. On
not receiving any reply from by the First Appellate Authority, the Applicant
filed a Second Appeal before the CIC on 15.04.09.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing for 23rd September, 2009.
3. Mr. Parmatma Rai, DGM(RTI & PG), Mr. Sanjeev Kerketta, Asst. MGR(HR), Mr.
S.S Kaushal, MGR and Mr. Pravin Punj, GM(BD)& CPIO represented the Public
Information.
4. The Applicant was heard through audio conference during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Appellant informed the Commission that he had received the information
sent vide letter dated 18.9.09 and that he is satisfied with it.
6. The case is accordingly closed.
