Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI request dt.4.12.06 with the CPIO, CBFC. He
requested for information against 20 points with regard to advertisements,
fashion shows, film – item songs in print media as well as electronic media.
The CPIO replied on 20.2.07 furnishing point wise information. Not satisfied,
the applicant filed a complaint dt.17.11.08 before CIC. In his complaint, the
applicant stated that since the CBFC did not supply the address of the
Appellate Authority, he filed a complaint dt.3.5.07 with State Information
Commission, Mumbai which after one and half years returned the appeal
stating that the complaint is in the ambit of CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing for February 19, 2009.
3. Mr. S.K. Sharma, Admn. Officer represented the Public Authority.
4. The Applicant was not present during the hearing.
Decision
5. After reviewing the information provided, the Commission is of the opinion
that all available information has been given to the Appellant and accordingly
disposes off the appeal.
