                                        ORDER

Shri Manish Kumar Shaw, the appellant has filed this appeal dated
12.11.2010 before the Commission against the Central Research Institute for
Jute & Allied Fibres (CRIJAF), Kolkata for not providing information to his RTI-
request dated 28.5.2010, which came up for hearing on 17.3.2011. The appellant
was present in person, whereas the respondents were represented by Dr. S.
Satpathy, Head Crop, Shri M. Basra, AAO, Shri P.C. Mohanta, AAO and Shri
S.Banerjee, Assistant.

2. The appellant filed RTI-request dated 28.5.2010, seeking information on
nine RTI-queries. The CPIO has not given any response to the appellant on his
RTI-queries.

3. When the appellant did not get response from CPIO, he preferred first-
appeal before AA on 28.7.2010. The AA vide letter No. RTI/2010-11/9359 has
replied to the appellant stating that his firm had supplied underweight electric
poles and he has defrauded the Institute to the tune of lakhs of rupees. All this
was replied to vide letter dated 16.4.2010, on his RTI application dated
18.3.2010.

4. During the hearing the respondents have agreed to provide point-wise
reply to the appellant.

5. After hearing the parties and on perusal of the relevant documents on file,
the CPIO is directed to provide point-wise reply to the appellant on his RTI-
request dated 28.5.2010 within four weeks of the receipt of this order.

The matter is disposed of with the above directions.
