ORDER
Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI Application dt.10.5.10 with the PIO, South Eastern Railway, Kolkata
seeking information against seven points with regard to custody store including the following:
i) Whether the rule governing to store department is applicable to custody store.
ii) Who is the custodian of the custody stores in running loco sheds
iii) Can a ministerial staff be a custodian of custody store with full accountability
Shri Debashis Chandra, CPIO replied on 2.7.10 stating that the RTI application has been forwarded
to PIO & Sr.DPO/CKP for examination and to send a reply directly to the Applicant. The Applicant
filed an appeal dt.26.8.10 with the Appellate Authority stating that no information has been received
so far and reiterated his request for the information. On not receiving any reply, he filed a second
appeal dt.16.11.10 before CIC.
Decision
2. During the hearing, the Respondents submitted that complete information was supplied to the
Appellant on 31.3.11 and that no further communication/complaint has been received from the
Appellant after receiving the information. The Commission therefore assumes that he is satisfied with
the information provided to him and accordingly closes the case.
