        The Appellant was present in person.

        On behalf of the Respondent, Shri Chillappa was present.

2. We heard this case through video conferencing. Both the parties were 

present in the Thirunelveli studio of the NIC. We heard their submissions. It was 

noted   that   the   CPIO   had   already   provided   some   of   the   information   to   the 

Appellant. Out of the remaining information, we direct the CPIO to provide to 

him the following within 10 working days from the receipt of this order:

i) photocopy of the guideline/circular of the bank laying down the staffing norms 

for branches including a branch such as Melapalayam;

ii)   photocopy   of   the   guideline/circular   of   the   bank   laying   down   norms   for 

opening/running of a new branch;

iii)   photocopy  of  the   Citizen’s  Charter  laying  down  the   norms/time  limits  for 

various transactions or services in the bank dealing with customers;

iv) photocopy of the relevant pages from the file in which the decision was 

taken to shift this branch from its previous building to the present one; and

v) photocopy of the annual report of the Branch for the year ending 31 March 

2010 showing the annual turnover.

3. With the above directions, the appeal is disposed off.

4. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
