Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.20.3.10 with the PIO, Western Railway HQ, Mumbai seeking
the following information:
i) List of Law Assistant / Chief Law Assistant working before 30.11.1999
ii) Copy of approved cadre position of Law Assistant / Chief Law Assistant before 30.11.1999
iii) List of Chief Law Assistant / Law Assistant (Reserved category) on 30.11.99
iv) Vacancy position of Law Assistant / Chief Law Assistant in SC/ST category on 30.11.1999.
Shri S.M.Meena, PIO(Personnel) replied on 19.4.10 furnishing point wise information. Not satisfied
with the reply, the Applicant filed an appeal dt.13.5.10 with the Appellate Authority seeking certain
clarifications. Shri S.K.Sharma, Appellate Authority replied on 16.6.10 stating that the case was
further examined by PIO(Personnel) and enclosing the remarks as received from the Record Keeping
Officer. Being aggrieved with the reply, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.9.8.10 before CIC.
Decision
2. During the hearing, the Respondents submitted that the Appellant had been furnished with complete
information by the PIO and that additional information sought by the Appellant at both the first appeal and
second appeal stages was also furnished to him.
3. On perusal of information provided, the Commission holds that there is no further information to be
disclosed to the Appellant and accordingly disposes of the appeal and closes the case at the Commission’s
end.
