Background
1. The Applicant filed his RTI application dt.29.9.08 with the CPIO, C-DoT. He
requested for information against 9 points such as agenda, minutes of all C-
DoT Board meetings held between 1.1.97 and 30.4.99, proposal moved by C-
DoT Board for the approval of Steering Committee/Governing Council,
approval granted by the Steering Committee/Governing council etc.The APIO
replied on 31.10.08 enclosing the documents available w.r.t the Applicant’s
query. She also allowed inspection of documents.
Not satisfied with the reply, the Applicant filed an appeal dt.3.11.08 with the
Appellate Authority. The Appellate Authority replied on 7.1.09. Aggrieved
with the reply, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.27.2.09 before CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing for April 21, 2009.
3. Mr. Kuljit Singh, Sr. Programme Manager & CPIO and Mr. Udaykant Mishra,
Chief Executive & Appellate Authority represented the Public Authority.
4. The Applicant was present during the hearing.
Decision
5. After hearing the submissions from both the parties, the Commission directs
the CPIO to provide all available information to the Appellant based on the
second appeal of the Appellant by 15th May, 2009.
6. The appeal is disposed off.
