ORDER
Shri Rajiv Batra, the appellant has filed this appeal dated 16.12.2010 before the
Commission against Delhi Police, South-West District, Delhi for providing vague and
unsatisfactory information to his RTI-request dated 7.7.2010, which came up for hearing
on 11.04.2011. The appellant was present in person, whereas the respondents were
represented by Shri Zile Singh, ACP and Shri Ramesh Chander, Inspector.
2. The appellant filed RTI-request dated 7.7.2010 addressed to Additional
Commissioner of Police, Vigilance, seeking copy of vigilance enquiry report in respect of
his complaint dated 27.2.2009 The PIO vide letter No.5615/DIC/SWD dated 23.7.2010 has
informed the appellant that as per report of ACP/PG Cell & HAC/SWD the said complaint
was got enquired through ACP/PG Cell/SWD and after enquiry, the same has already
been filed on 14.7.2010.
3. Aggrieved by the decision of PIO, the appellant filed first-appeal 17.8.2010 before
FAA. The FAA vide order No. (125)/RTIA/2010(SWD)/7015-16/AA/SWD dated 14.9.2010
has decided appellant’s first-appeal, who observed that the appellant didn’t ask any
specific information vide application dated 7.7.2010. However, the available information
i.e. status of his complaint has been provided by PIO/SWD. Besides, the PIO/SWD has
also allowed the permissible part of enquiry report as well his statement vide letter No.
6718/(1614)/DIC/SWD dated 1.9.2010 in response to his another RTI application dated
23.7.2010.

4. During the hearing the respondents submitted that appellant’s complaint was
related to injury and stolen goods. The matter was enquired by the Police, the allegations
leveled could not be substantiated and the case has been filed. The respondents further
provided the information vide letter No. 2396/DIC/SWD dated 23.3.2011, after filing the
second appeal before the Commission.
5. After hearing the parties and on perusal of the relevant documents on file, the
Commission observes that the requisite information, permissible under the RTI Act, has
been provided to the appellant. For redressal of his grievances, the appellant is advised to
approach the competent authority of Delhi Police.
The matter is disposed of accordingly.
