Background
1. The Appellant filed his RTI application dt.19.2.08 with the CPIO, BSNL,
Lucknow. The Appellant wanted information against 2 points regarding
the rent being paid by the Telephone Exchange to him. The CPIO
replied on 11.4.08. The Appellant filed his first appeal dt.30.4.08 with
the Appellate Authority. The Appellate Authority replied on 21.8.08
stating that information cannot be provided under Sec.8(1)(j) of the
RTI Act. The Appellant filed his second appeal dt.1.9.08 before the
CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner,
scheduled the hearing on January 13, 2009.
3. Mr. Brijendra Kumar Singh, DGM(Admin.) and Mr. Prahlad represented
the Public Authority.
4. The Appellant was present at the hearing.
Decision
5. The Commission directs the Respondent to provide information against
the 2 points sought by the Appellant in his RTI application dt. 19.2.08
within 15 days of the receipt of this Order.
6. The appeal is disposed off.
