Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.19.10.07 with the CPIO, DoP, Jaipur.
He requested for information against 4 points regarding i)action taken on his
three complaints; ii) regarding promotion to a person junior to hm; iii)action
taken with regard to six employees who were allegedly recruited for EDA
posts using the wrong selection process and iv) action taken against the
official who had recruited the EDA . The CPIO replied on 18.10.08 furnishing
point wise information including the action taken on the letters. Not satisfied
with the reply, the Applicant filed an appeal dt.17.11.08 with the Appellate
Authority requesting for further clarification on the matter. The Appellate
Authority replied on 28.11.08 upholding the decision of the CPIO. Aggrieved
with the reply, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.17.2.09 before CIC
asking for the information about the disciplinary action taken against the
concerned individuals mentioned in his letter.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing for June 17, 2009.
3. Mr. Dushyant Mudgal, APMG (S&V) cum CPIO andMr. Surjan Ram, ASP(Vig.)
represented the Public Authority.
4. The Applicant was not present during the hearing.
Decision
5. The Respondent submitted to the Commission that on receipt of a copy of the
second appeal, the required information was sent by Registered Post to the
Appellant on 16.6.09. A copy of the information was also shared with the
Commission. Point-wise information on the punishment and the disciplinary
action taken against the concerned individuals was also provided vide letter
dated 16.6.09. On perusal of the information , the Commission observed that
complete information has been furnished to the Appellant and accordingly
disposes of the appeal.
