ORDER
Background
1. The RTI Application dated 1.3.11 (not legible) was filed by the Applicant with the PIO, North Central
Railway, Jhansi, seeking action taken on his application dated 25.12.10 and the subsequent reminder
dated 22.1.11 related to his promotion. The PIO transferred the application to the PIO, North Central
Railway, Allahabad. The PIO , HQ Office, Allahabad thereafter on 6.4.11 transferred the RTI
application back to Jhansi stating that the information pertains to Jhansi. The Applicant filed first
appeal on 15.4.11 (Not eligible) which was replied to by the Appellate Authority on 16.5.11.(not
enclosed). Not satisfied with this reply the Applicant filed his second appeal before the Commission
on 31.5.11 seeking the information related to his promotion , which he had claimed from 1.11.03
since there was no case pending against him on that date.
Decision.
2. During the hearing the Respondent submitted that the Appellant has been promoted as requested
by him and that he was informed about the promotion vide letter dated 3.8.11. The Respondent
further added that the Appellant is now satisfied since his grievance has been redressed.
3. In the light of the Respondent’s submission the Commission directs that the case be closed.
