        The Appellant was not present in spite of notice.

        On behalf of the Respondent, Shri M.R. Trivedi was present.

2. We heard this case through videoconferencing. In spite of notice, the Appellant 

was not present. The Respondents were present in the Port Blair studio of the NIC. We 

heard their submissions.

3. The  Appellant   had  sought   a  number   of   information  regarding  various   caste 

categories   existing   in   the   Andaman   and   Nicobar   islands.   Although   the   CPIO   had 

provided the information as desired against almost all his queries, the Appellant has 

submitted that the information is not complete or adequate. After carefully considering 

the submissions made during the hearing and the contents of the second appeal, we 

think that the Appellant should be shown the relevant records based on which the 

CPIO had provided various information to him. Therefore, we direct the CPIO to invite 

the Appellant to his office on any mutually convenient date within 15 working days from 

the receipt of this order and to show him all the relevant files, records, government 

circulars/notifications based on which he had responded to the Appellant’s queries. 

After inspection, if the Appellant would choose to get the photocopies of some of the 

records, the CPIO shall provide the same to him free of cost.

4. The case is, thus, disposed off.

5. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
