ORDER
Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI Application dt.27.9.10 with the PIO, Konkan Railway Corporation. Shri
Siddheshwar Telugu, PIO replied on 22.10.10. The information sought and the reply given are given
below:

Not satisfied with the reply, the Applicant filed an appeal dt.25.11.10 with the Appellate Authority.
Shri A.K.Pandharkar, Appellate Authority replied on 23.12.10 upholding the decision of the PIO.
Being aggrieved with the reply, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.1.2.11 before CIC.
Decision
2. The Commission after hearing the submissions of both sides, directs the PIO to provide a copy of the
letter dt.5.4.10 of the Managing Director giving reasons for cancellation of the recruitment and
suggesting that all candidates who had appeared should be allowed to appear in the exam to be held
once again, without having to pay any additional charges. A copy of the vigilance report
recommending the cancellation of the recruitment after invoking Sec.10(1) of the RTI Act, if required,
may also be provided to the Appellant. Information to reach the Appellant by 1.7.11 and the Appellant
to submit a compliance report by 8.7.11.
3. The appeal is disposed of with the above directions.
