Background

1. The Applicant filed his RTI application on 20.04.09 with the CPIO, M/o
Information & Broadcasting, New Delhi requesting for information against 10
points related to one Mr. Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Station Engineer, AIR,
Bilaspur (C.G.), IRLA No. 14550. The CPIO replied on 13.05.09 enclosing copy
of information as received from the Concerned Section.

2. Being aggrieved with the reply the Appellant directly filed his complaint before
the CIC on 24.07.09 alleging that the information supplied was incomplete
and even no reason/explanation had been given by the CPIO of non furnishing
of the response. The Applicant/Complainant accordingly reiterated his
requesting for complete information to be furnished.

3. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing on 18 September, 2009.

4. Smt. Sunita Sharma, Accounts Deptt; Mr. A. Vishwanathan, Asstt. Accounts
Officer; Ms. Madhu Rawat, Asstt. Accounts Officer and Mr. B R Dhyani,
represented to the Public Authority.

5. The Applicant was not present during the hearing.

Decision

6. The Respondent submitted that in response to the Second Appeal in which he
had listed his grounds for appeal, point wise information was provided on
15.09.09 against each of the grounds for appeal along with copies of file
noting providing calculations of TA Arrears. The Commission noted that the
CPIO regretted the inadvertent mistake made while calculating the TA Arrears,
based on earlier rates, and that the corrections have been made and also
that the Data Base Administrator has been reprimanded for the mistake which
he had committed, although unintentionally.

7. Since information has been provided and action has been taken against the
Data Base Administrator, the appeal is accordingly disposed of.
