ORDER
Background
1. The RTI Application dated 1.4.11 was filed by the Applicant with the PIO, DRM Office, Western
Railway, Ahmedabad stating that in respect of his promotion to the post of JE II he had submitted a
representation on 23.3.11 and seeking information on action taken on this representation. On not
receiving any reply from the PIO the Applicant filed first appeal on 11.5.11 to which the Appellate
Authority replied on 25.5.11 providing point wise information. Not satisfied with the reply the Applicant
filed his second appeal dated 3.6.11 before the Commission.
Decision.
2. On perusal of submissions on record the Commission noted that a pointed reply against point 1
(action taken on his representation dated 23.3.11) has not been provided by the PIO. Therefore the
information as required may be furnished to the Appellant including any communication and file
notings indicating any decision taken on his representation. The response to this notice to reach the
Commission by 28 September, 2011. With regard to remaining points 2 to 5, the Commission holds
that the information has already been provided to the Appellant .
3. The Commission also directs the PIO to show cause as to why a penalty should not be imposed
upon him for not responding to the RTI application within the stipulated period.
4. The appeal is disposed off with the above direction.

the complaint. In the prayer, the Appellant/Complainant may indicate, what information has not been provided.
