                                    DECISION

       The appellant has sought information under RTI Act by his letter dated
26.12.2007 addressed to Asstt. General Manager, State Bank of Mysore at
Bangalore requesting certain information pertaining to collection of service
charges for selling stamps papers through State Bank of Mysore branches and
in this connection he has requested for the guidelines issued by the Reserve
Bank of India. Since the appellant has not received reply he has filed this
complaint before the Karnataka Information Commission on 29.01.2008.
This has been duly forwarded by the Karnataka Information Commission on
2.2.22008 to this Commission.

2.     Comments were called for by the Commission on 13.05.2008 which
was received from CPIO, State Bank of Mysore on 4th June 2008. In the
comments he has indicated the application dated 26.12.2007 was replied by
his office on 22.01.2008 and he has also enclosed the photocopies of the
speed post receipt issued by the post office. In the appeal it is quite possible
that the appellant has filed complaint before the Karnataka Information
Commission and this reply might have crossed on account of which he has
not made any comments about the letter dated 22.01.2008. It is, therefore,
advised the appellant may go through the reply given by the CPIO on
22.01.2008 and in case if he is not satisfied with the information he is at
liberty to file an appeal before the first AA. The CPIO has also furnished the
particulars of first AA. It is also presumed since the appellant has not made
any mention of this letter along with this decision a copy of this letter is also

 enclosed for his ready reference. On the above lines, the appeal is disposed
of.

     Let a copy of this decision be sent to the appellant and CPIO.
